TypeEasily as a Keybr alternative: home row first, no account

TypeEasily is a free in-browser ten-finger trainer. The homepage is the trainer. There is no signup. Progress stays in this browser on this device.

You pick US, UK, or Danish. The method is home row first, then two keys at a time. The first lesson is J and K. The goal on that first step is 90% · 8 wpm. The course currently has 34 steps. There is a game mode. Private use is free.

Keybr is a trainer, not only a test

Keybr does not put a signup wall in front of the trainer. An account is optional. The trainer starts with the most common letters: as a guest, the current key was E, and the first word was area, with generated words such as alien, area, and lane.

Settings include a Keyboard language list with British English and Danish. The exact Danish and UK layout names inside the Layout dropdown were not verified here. Keybr shows ads and offers an optional premium lifetime plan. The dollar amount for that plan is not quoted here. There is a separate Typing Test in the navigation — Keybr is not “just a test”.

How the two trainers differ

Keybr chooses letters by frequency and by the keys you are weakest on. TypeEasily uses a fixed home-row curriculum, two keys at a time. Both can be used without an account.
